Round 2 · Five options

Seal, Aperture, Specimen, Knot, Stamp

Five identity directions grounded in the traditions of craft authority, optical precision, type design, continuous systems, and utilitarian engineering. The designer's background is present in each; the AI-engineer context earns its place without announcing itself.

The faceted medallion ring is a strong archetype: maker's seals, minted coins, master craftsman stamps. The TP monogram inside earns its container rather than floating free. Bronze + ink is the right restraint. The main weakness is that "seal" reads traditional over technical; it would suit a studio persona more than an agent-engineer one. Still, the craft authority is real.

Camera aperture blades converging to a center that double-reads as P: that's a sharp conceptual move. The graphite cool-blue palette stays on the right side of restrained without going cold. The blade geometry looks precise rather than decorative. It bridges the designer's eye with the convergence/verification theme. Docks a half-point for the blade form being slightly familiar in tech contexts; the P counter anchors it enough.

The TP ligature is the strongest concept in Round 2: the crossbar of T flowing directly into the bowl of P is a genuine design move, not decoration. It signals graphic-design craft without announcing it. The type-specimen framing (baseline rule, caption label) adds editorial authority. Strongest mark for someone whose background spans both disciplines; the main risk is that ligatures require craft execution at every size, and this one simplifies well.

Continuous-line / topological knot is a strong metaphor for orchestration and connected systems. The over-under crossing device is the interesting move. The current execution reads more as a TP letterform pair than a genuine topological shape; a more committed knot geometry would lift this. The green accent is distinctive without being garish. Concept scores higher than current execution.

Industrial inspection stamp is the clearest conceptual fit for someone whose practice is built on pass/fail evaluation. The stencil TP, double-frame, registration ticks, and "INSPECTED" label all serve the concept. The stamp-red reads honest rather than alarming. Works as a rubber stamp, a digital mark, or a watermark on a lab report. Stencil letterforms at small sizes are the main technical risk; the current execution holds to 24px.

Round 3 · Five options

Erratum, Null, Interval, Reticle, Gate

Five marks drawn entirely from the language of statistical honesty and engineering precision. No decoration imports from outside the field. Each mark is a primary concept from applied evaluation: the correction, the empty result, the confidence range, the precision sighting instrument, and the logical gate.

The strongest concept in the set. The strikethrough as the primary mark device is a genuine, memorable idea: the correction is the logo. It ties directly to the site's honesty-first positioning (the +0.45 to +0.07 erratum is the hero case study). Impossible to mistake for anyone else. The serif two-weight treatment gives editorial weight; the red strikethrough rule is the only color and it carries enormous meaning. The favicon (struck T over P) reads at 16px. Only risk: it could read as self-deprecation rather than confidence; that is managed by tone in copy.

The dual-reading is clean: the stroke-through P reads as both the letter and the empty-set symbol. Anyone who recognizes the mathematical notation gets the message immediately; those who don't see a strong monoline P. The monoline construction is disciplined and distinct from the Round 2 marks. The purely two-tone palette (no accent) is the right call here: the form carries all the meaning. Excellent favicon behavior. Docks half a point for being slightly more cryptic in contexts where the statistical resonance is lost.

A P built from the formal grammar of error bars: two vertical rules of unequal height, serif whisker caps, a horizontal crossbar connecting them. The concept is specific and earned; the teal accent square at the point-estimate position is a good detail. The weakness is legibility: the P reading is ambiguous at first pass unless the viewer already knows the statistical notation. It may read as "two unequal lines with a crossbar" before it resolves as P. Strong for a specialist audience, less immediately readable as a wordmark.

Two concentric rings with interrupted crosshairs is a genuine instrument reticle, not a decorative circle. The interrupted crosshairs (gap at the inner ring) are the essential detail that separates this from a bullseye. The P resolves from the vertical crosshair (stem), the inner ring right half (bowl), and the horizontal at mid-height (arm). It is subtle: the P reading takes a moment at first encounter, then locks permanently. That's a good quality for a mark. The purely monoline, two-tone approach is the right restraint; an accent would undermine the precision reading.

Thomas Peng AI Agent Engineer

The AND-gate silhouette is immediately recognizable to any engineer or CS-adjacent reader: flat left edge, semicircular right, input stubs, single output nub. Using the body as positive space and punching TP as negative space is the strong compositional choice. The figure-ground reading is clean. The voice ("Pass or fail. Nothing between.") is the right Boolean energy. The slight weakness is that T in the negative space is harder to read than P at small sizes; the favicon simplifies to P-only for this reason, which is the correct call.
